Today I began Oprah’s ten week book discussion on Eckhart Tolle’s, “A New Earth.” Oprah has magically managed to gather over two million people together on line to discuss this life – changing book with it’s author and us, the readers. As I once again enveloped myself in the concepts of living and loving in this moment I was reminded that there is no new information! What IS new is our state of mind and our readiness to learn. When I am open and ready the information – the teacher will appear and hit me like I’ve never heard it before. What are you ready for more of in your life?
It’s often easy for me to think about what I want to adjust or move from but the much more productive question is – what do I want to move towards? What you focus on expands. When I put my energy and intention on what I am choosing rather than what I am finished with – that is where I get my expanded opportunities.
When I was ready to leave my job at a bank 20 years ago – I didn’t know this wisdom. I focused on complaining why I had to go, how I wasn’t appreciated and what a dead end position I was in – thus I continued to get what I had always gotten. In retrospect, if I would have put that same level of energy into picturing, affirming, discussing what made my heart sing I would have manifested my opportunities not only faster but with MUCH more ease and grace!
Today I focus daily on receiving Oprah’s phone call begging me to bring, The Birthday Princess Handbook on her show so that we can host a birthday party for woman and invite them to love themselves like never before. I’m ready. I’m open. I’m tasting the birthday cake now.
